Instead of posting here typical and traditional Portuguese music (which is something that we will still do, of course) I thought I'd post music from artists I identify the most with - those who are Portuguese-descent, just like I am. Multicultural singers and artists who sing, therefore, in many languages, not exclusively Portuguese. Musicians such as Nelly Furtado, Katy Perry, Steve Perry (no relation, other than the Portuguese ancestry), Danny Fernandes, Shawn Desman (now there, there's a relation!), Kenny Rogers, Jay Kay (lead singer of Jamiroquai), Ana Da Silva (founding member of The Raincoats) and Nuno Bettencourt (the latter actually Portugal-born) or "Luso-francofonic" artists (also of Portuguese origin - some born in Portugal too, others not) such as the great Linda de Suza (Portuguese born and later an immigrant in France) São and Marie Myriam. For the Portuguese greats such as Delfins, Dulce Pontes, Roberto Leal, Rodrigo Leao, Resistencia, Madredeus, Amalia e todos os outros - you can search for them on this site, at a fine record store near you or elsewhere on the web, evidently. Claro que falamos Português e ouvimos música Portuguêsa - com toda certesa!
Mas queremos ir além disso porque, na verdade, somos cidadãos não apenas de Portugal, mas do Mundo. E pouco importa qual são os nossos países de origem, no final das coisas...
Os nossos pais e mães fizeram isso assim - pela Vontade de Deus Todo Poderoso!

Na verdade, nós somos o que Deus Quiz que sejamos neste mundo...!
